My Experiences
Automation has been a lifelong passion. I was just 5 when I drafted my first design for an automated noodle production line (a gift for my grandpa). And by 11, I was having my first 'conversations' with an A.L.I.C.E. (Artificial Linguistic Internet Computer Entity) chatbot, a bit like a very basic AI from back in the day.
Tech and math are my jam, especially building behavior models. Instead of majoring in Computer Science, I chose International Business in college because human behavior is just so much messier and harder to pin down with language or any predictable patterns than machines are.
After graduating, I jumped into the EduTech startup as a CMO. It took me 18 months to bring us to dominate the market share in Taiwan. Though I was appointed as COO, I chose to pivot towards more challenging and innovative opportunities in the tech space.
Then, academia called me back to keep exploring human behavior models. My research was in Psychophysics. In 2016, I studied Engineering Management in an exchange program, while simultaneously embarking on my journey into Machine Learning. After receiving grants to Silicon Valley in 2017, I came back and founded ShowHue(AICV startup in marketing visual automation).
This space is my running log of key milestones (updates coming if laziness doesn't get the better of me!). I cherish every step, even the big falls, because they all contribute to who I am today. Hope you enjoy it.
